a visual diary
Photography is not just a picture - it's a moment frozen in time
Explore GalleryThrough The Lens is an independent photography journal dedicated to celebrating the beauty hidden in everyday moments. Founded by a small group of passionate visual storytellers, this site is a curated space where light, texture, and emotion converge.
We believe that photography is more than a technical craft - it is an act of seeing. Every photograph on this site was chosen because it made us pause, reflect, or feel something profound.
Whether you are a seasoned photographer or simply someone who appreciates the art of visual storytelling, we invite you to explore our collection and discover the world through our lens.
Missandei Narth is a self-taught photographer based in Nairobi, Kenya, with a deep love for the intersection of light and human experience. Armed with a battered 35mm film camera and an insatiable curiosity, Missandei began capturing the world at the age of 16.
Over the years, Missandei's work has appeared in regional travel magazines and community art exhibitions. Through The Lens was born a simple conviction: that every person, place, and feeling moment deserves to be remembered beautifully.
